With over 20 years of experience in gardening and grounds maintenance, we use our extensive knowledge to establish the amount of ground preparation required, depending on the specific soil conditions. Soil must be friable with a good tilth so that roots can establish themselves. Existing weeds and other growth must be removed along with foreign bodies and stones. We have stone rakes which are very effective at removing stones in areas of high pollution, while our Blec stone-burying machine is excellent in other areas. In some locations, we may use naked flame to burn off dead vegetation as part of ground preparation and preparing the area for the next stage of your project. Special care is taken in the preparation of ground for turf laying - we will also ensure the area is weed free before laying. No matter what size the area is to turf, we at Country Grounds Maintenance can supply, deliver and lay freshly cultivated turf.
