This week we celebrate National Tree Week, the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, running from Saturday 27th November to Sunday 5th December. Across the country, people will be planting thousands of trees to mark the start of the winter tree planting season.
At CGM we recognise and raise awareness for the importance of forests and trees, including the benefits for the current and future generations. We regularly get involved in tree planting initiatives and tree awareness schemes.
Trees play an essential role in our ecosystems, taking in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and put out oxygen, keeping our air clean, which is vital to keep climate change under control amongst other things.
Wherever you are in the country, you can get involved in National Tree Week by visiting https://treecouncil.org.uk/take-action/seasonal-campaigns/national-tree-week/ to find local events near you to get involved with.
