Country Grounds Maintenance (CGM) were delighted to support a planting day at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, with volunteers from CGM and HSBC making the day a huge success.
The event on Sunday, October 26 attracted more than 15 volunteers with planting around the hospital car park entrance, raised beds at the front and bulbs along a main pathway.
Chris Taylor, CGM Projects and Business Development Manager was pleased to support such a worthwhile initiative. “We have maintained the hospital grounds for many years, to support a planting day like this was a pleasure,” he said.
“CGM support a number of initiatives in and around the community, it is one of our company core values. We took our own volunteers and to have the support of HSBC staff
who all gave up their Sunday mornings was excellent.”
Steve Adcock, Building Officer in the Estates Department at the hospital added: “I was very pleased with the planting day. There was great team work between CGM and the volunteers which made the day enjoyable and well organised.
“The planting makes a very good visual effect that will benefit the staff, patients and visitors that attend the hospital. I cannot wait until the spring when we will see everything in full colour.”
